In Loving Memory of a Brilliant Cousin: A Brother, Confidant, and Protector
As we navigate this journey called LIFE we sometimes are fortunate to come across certain people that become an indelible part of our being. My dear cousin, Martin was one of those people. Martin was more than a cousin to my sisters and me. He was a brother, a confidant, a protector, an advocate and always our cheer leader and at times a negotiator when our Dad (Uncle PO ) was being ridiculously over protective. He was a cherished soul who touched the lives of my sisters and me in profound ways.
He took on life with such enthusiasm and passion whether it be physics, soccer, cricket, fishing. I have fond memories of him helping me in college with my physics and calculus homework.
The more complex the assignment the more excited he would get! Of course, he would lose me within seconds!
His brilliance was undeniable and so was his humility. He possessed an innate ability to connect with anyone, regardless of time or place. Even in the briefest encounters. As I shared the sad news of his passing, I had friends from college and in Florida who I had even forgotten they had met him.
Martin was like the encouraging big brother. He listened with empathy, offering solace, and guidance, gently nudging us toward the best versions of ourselves.
To my sisters and me, our dear cousin was a beacon of love and inspiration. Our bond transcended bloodlines, and his absence leaves a void that can never be filled. The memories we shared, the laughter, the tears, and the invaluable lessons he imparted will forever be etched in our hearts.
RIP my dear cousin we celebrate a life that was lived to the fullest, leaving an enduring legacy of love, intellect, and unwavering support. Though our hearts ache, we find solace in knowing that you will forever remain with us, guiding us from the depths of our cherished memories.
