I grew up in Elmont and attended St. Vincent de Paul Church and I always remember Mrs. Graziano from church. A few years ago I met up with Mrs. Graziano on a day trip given by the St. Agnes Cathedral Senior Club run by Sr. Helen Byrne (my boss). Upon arriving at the venue I learned that the bus ride wasn't good and she became ill. So because she didn't know anyone on the trip I asked her some questions and learned she was indeed a fellow SVDP parishioner. We talked all during the lunch & I informed her that I actually went to H.S. with her daughter Donna. I'm glad I was able to make her feel comfortable and I gave her lots of credit for going on a day trip where she didn't know anyone. She will be remembered with class and grace, may she rest in peace & her family find solace knowing she's at peace!!
